  • Hello, If you haven't noticed I haven't been on here all year. I thought I might post something, since I can.

Today is my Birthday! yayaya! I plan on going to the sand dunes with a group of friends.

This is a great weekend to reflect on what Christ did for us.

Who ever reads this I hope you have a great day. :)

  • Matthew 5:43-47

     Jesus said something like:

"You're familiar with the old written law, 'Love your friend,' and its unwritten companion, 'Hate your enemy.' I'm challenging that. I'm telling you to love your enemies. Let them bring out the best in you, not the worst. When someone gives you a hard time, respond with the energies of prayer, for then you are working out of your true selves, your God-created selves. This is what God does. He gives his best—the sun to warm and the rain to nourish—to everyone, regardless: the good and bad, the nice and nasty. If all you do is love the lovable, do you expect a bonus? Anybody can do that. If you simply say hello to those who greet you, do you expect a medal? Any run-of-the-mill sinner does that."

  • Psalm 95:1-6
"O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.
Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.
For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods.
In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also.
The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land.
O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker.'"

  • Last
night my soccer team played a very suspenseful game against Mt. Home for the third place in district and the qualification for the state tournament. We had tied, lost, and won against them, and last nights game was supposed to prove that we were better. Throughout the whole game, many shots were SO close. Some bounced off the post, some slid past the side, and some were blocked breakaways. We got the first goal, then they got one. By the time the final whistle blew it was 2-2. So we went into sudden death overtime (ten min).

Shots were made, but no goals. We went into a second overtime (ten more minutes)  and by then almost everyone was standing up and yelling whenever a goal was almost scored. No one scored. Our coach kept saying, "I can't watch. Tell me what happened, when it is over." Of coarse, she watched.

We had to win with shootouts. That was suspenseful too. Because our teams weakest point is shooting, we had been practicing shots almost every practice for at least half of practice. Our team is good at shooting, not necessarily getting it in the net though. It is a good thing our goalie, Kara, is like the best goalie in our district.

The first shot was against us. They made a lovely shot to the bottom right side of the goal. I cant remember what order the events occurred next, but I do remember that there were a lot of cheers and sighs of relief from our team. We scored, they missed, we scored, Kara blocked theirs, and we scored.
    We're going to state!!

These soccer pictures were taken at the Nampa game (Nampa was Cardinal red) and the Middleton game, not the Mt. Home game.
